White Rock Lake Dog Park, Inc. is very excited to announce this years primary fund raiser for the WRL Dog Park. The event, coined "Barkitecture 2008" is a competitive design and construction contest of unique one-of-a-kind dog homes. Look out Frank Lloyd Wright!!!
As much as we'd like to take credit for this idea, we cannont. Barkitecture events have been held nation wide, primarily as a fund-raising events for local dog related non-profit organizations. The events have generated a lot of community interest and been widely attended by both pet owners, as well as non-pet owners.
This years project focus will be to raise funds primarily to address the flooding that closes the park each spring for periods of up to two months.
